What is lifestyle newborn session?
A newborn session at home involves the photographer coming to your home and setting up a small studio area or using natural light to capture beautiful photos of your new baby. The session includes posed shots of the baby in different positions, close-ups of little details like toes and fingers, as well as candid shots of the baby and family members interacting. The photographer may also incorporate props like blankets, baskets, or hats to add personality and creativity to the photos. Throughout the session, the photographer will work to ensure that the baby is comfortable and safe, and will take breaks as needed for feedings or diaper changes. The goal is to create beautiful and timeless photographs that you will cherish for years to come.
Why to choose my lifestyle newborn over classic studio one?
Firstly, lifestyle sessions capture the baby in their natural environment, which can create a more authentic and emotional connection with the family. The photographs will reflect the real-life moments and emotions that occur during the first few weeks of the baby’s life, rather than just posed shots in a studio setting.
Furthermore, lifestyle sessions often include family members and show the love and bond between them and the new addition. This results in images that are not only beautiful but also meaningful and heartfelt.
Another advantage of a lifestyle session is the flexibility it offers in terms of timing and location. Since the focus is on capturing the real-life moments and emotions, the photographer can work around the family’s schedule and choose the most suitable location for the shoot, whether it be at home or somewhere else.
Finally, lifestyle sessions often result in a wider variety of images, as the photographer captures a range of activities and moments throughout the session. This can result in a more diverse and interesting collection of photos to choose from.
Overall, while there are pros and cons to both styles of newborn photography, a lifestyle session may be the preferred choice for those who value authenticity, emotion, and flexibility in their photographs.
When it should be done?
Usually, newborn photographers require babies to be up to 14 days. And yes, that’s perfect timing to get baby to the deep sleep stage to pose him or her. But as far as I mix lifestyle and posing pictures, I do not need to have the baby sleeping through the whole session. That’s why my kind of newborn session can be done up to 1 month. But the sooner the better if you want to have more different wrapped and posed pictures!
